Sherlock Search is a web-based tool that enables a one-time reverse face search on publicly available online sources. By uploading a single photo, users can locate where the face appears across the internet.
The tool uses a comparison method to match the submitted face with images connected to public websites and provides source links for potential matches.
There is no account required for usage, only a one-time payment procedure through Stripe. This tool maintains privacy, keeping the image in the user's browser until payment verification, after which the search commences.
The search media is retained for a maximum of 24 hours. The service is most responsibly used when corroborated by additional source context.
Research basis: This is a source-based directory listing prepared from public product information; it is not represented as a hands-on test. Last updated August 4, 2026. Read our methodology.
