How it works: You reserve a Bristol Haven Farm Half Beef Custom Share today with a $400 non-refundable deposit. We reserve one of our cattle for you. In November, your beef will go to a USDA-certified butcher to be processed and packed in individual vacuum-sealed packages. Once we have the hanging weight from the butcher, we'll send you an invoice for the final cost of the animal (minus the deposit). Approximately 2-3 weeks later when your cuts are ready, you'll pay the processing costs to the processor at the time of pick up. (For 2025, processing costs were $0.71 per pound hanging weight with additional $0.20/lb for ground beef, along with the slaughter fee of approximately $85 for a half cow. If requested, there are additional processing fees for the heart, liver, tail & tongue.)
